Thoughts about "Summer Camp"

Reviews and analyses related
to Nick Scipio's famous saga.
including HTML-versions of
my ad-hoc critiques from the
Scipio Forum.

Q: Who are you?

A: I am a man, in his thirties, who a decade ago went East, spending most of my time on the autobahn and the rest at the computer. I discovered ASSM at Google in 2000 or so. I am not related to the historic writer.

Q: Are you a writer?

A: Certainly not. In 2003 I thought I should contribute some efforts to the newsgroups, but I rather was the guy who began to update Ole Joe's story list.

Q: Speaking of Ole Joe's guide, will you continue to update it??

A: Difficult question. Pay me enough money, so I can quit my job and I could do that. Keeping the guide up to date has become impossible. I will correct errors though as I am getting aware of them and try to include more URLs where a certain story can be found.

Q: You made a spelling/grammar error, what should I do?

A: Report to me. I am not native in the english language, so mistakes are rather probable. I am happy to learn, as long as I don't get letters like "Hey you morone, go back to school!"

Q: Which writers do you prefer?

A: A lot. From the actual newsgroup contributors it are Nick Scipio, Frank Downey, Ann Douglas, and Strickland. Very good are also The Caddy and Winemaker and a zillion others, to much to name them here. Many of them are in the guide.

Q: Which writers/stories get on the list in the guide?

A: First I must get aware of them. Posting regularly stories to ASSM is one method. Writing a good story is another. In general all new stories by a writer already on the list are added. New entries can also be occur thanks to story reviews and spotlights at ASSD.

Q: Are you writing also in German?

A: I wrote a handful German stories, but not all of them had been published so far. One of them I am translating to English at the moment.

Q: Do you have other projects?

A: I am playing with the thought to translate some of my stories into Czech language. I would like to write more "Red 5" stories, maybe one for each month of the year. I also am working on a novel, but don't want to reveal details before it's ready.
