Introduction
Hunter X Hunter is one of my favorite
Animés. It is a story about a twelve-year old boy named Gon who
takes the Hunter Exam in quest to find his father. In the examination,
he just doesn't meet friends who are willing to help but also
applicants who kill without purpose. It's a good story of friendship,
trust and loyalty. This series is by Yoshihiro Togashi, the same
brilliant mind behind Yu Yu Hakusho (Ghost Fighter).
About
the Animé
The manga is currently published in Japan in Weekly Shonen Jump, and
past episodes have been compiled into a set of 22 tankōbon and growing.
The manga is currently being published in the United States by VIZ
Media.
An early Hunter × Hunter OVA was shown only at the 1998 Jump
Super Anime Tour.
An anime of Hunter × Hunter was broadcast on Fuji Television from
mid October 1999 to March 2001, and ran for 62 episodes. The anime
series removed the vast quantities of gore and severed limbs that
filled the manga, added new scenes like the "Battleship Island" test in
the Hunter Test, and fleshed out both the main characters and a few
minor characters. The televised anime ended just before the end of the
Genei Ryodan story arc. Three subsequent OVAs have carried the story
through the end of the Genei Ryodan story arc (8 episodes), and through
the Greed Island story arc (8 episodes, released from February through
April 2003, and 14 episodes, released from March through August 2004).
The anime is produced in English in Singapore by Odex.
Oddly, there also appears to have been a Takarazuka stage musical made
of Hunter × Hunter, about which there is precious little
information available.
As with practically every other anime series, Hunter × Hunter has
spawned numerous video games (most of which take place on Greed
Island),the most recent being Jump Superstars for the Nintendo DS, and
a trading card game (which is not based on the cards used on Greed
Island).

Characters
Gon
Freeks - 12/Whale Island - a youngster seeking his father! Decided to
follow his fathers steps to become a hunter! Kind of cheerful! As he
continue on his long journey, he met friends namely Killua, Leorio, and
Kurapica! He became best friends with Killua!! He passed the hunter
exam and was given the chance to learn Nen! Uses his fishing rod as a
weapon!
Killua
Zordic - 12/Kukulu Mountains - an assasin of the Zordic Family! Has a
violent side and became the best frend of Gon! Joins Gon in his journey
in finding his father! Didn't pass the hunter exam, but was given the
chance to learn Nen! He has great assassin ability and can kill an
ordinary person with his bare hands!
 
Kurapika: The last of
his clan, and whose eyes turn scarlet when he is enraged. He appeared
to be like a girl, but no folks! he is a man. He was become friends
with gon when they meet in the Hunter exam, an exam that grants the
passers the Hunter card that give you the full access and priveledges
the holder wants may that be in the internet or in buying different
things.
Leorio: A medical
student who, although he's the oldest of the four, is always scrambling
to catch up with the others. In the anime, Leorio appears to be the
weakling of the group and personally, found him very irritating
especially when he will be the burden of the group. However, his
determination, together with his love to is friends keep him strong in
tha face of difficulties.
