In 2003, I graduated from the
College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, OH with my Bachelor's degree in English. While attending college, I worked part time at the campus library, and loved it so much that I started working at the
Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County (PLCH) during my last semester of college. I worked for nearly two years in the
Children's Learning Center of the Main Public Library in downtown Cincinnati. It was rewarding, challenging, and a lot of fun! I decided then that I wanted to pursue my Master's degree in Library and Information Science.
It was fortuitous timing that my husband was being transferred to Northern New York as I was starting to look seriously at graduate school. Since Syracuse University's
School of Information Studies has one of the top-ranked LIS programs in the country, my choice of schools was all but made. I was admitted to the program in the Summer of 2005. While attending school full-time, I also worked part-time at the
Fort Drum Library. In May of 2007, I graduated from Syracuse University with my MLIS.
My husband and I moved back to Cincinnati, following the completion of his four-year commitment to the Army. We look forward to finally settling down and building our life together.
