Find Lake Nakuru, Masai Mare 12 and Thika
After being 3 weeks in Thika, I needed to get away out of Thika. Seeing something else than the city, cars, smoke and wanted to enjoin the beauty of Kenya. I went togehter with Danielle and a few others on a safari. We leave Thika and go to Lake Nakuru. We see there beautiful Flamingo's, Rhino's, Pelikans, Buffalo's, Wild pigs, Gazelles, Giraffes, Baboons and much more--->
In Lake Nakuru we had a riant car just for the two of us. The Safari in Masai Mare was planned with 3 Amricans, 2 English people and a lady from Nairoibi. The way of travelling was in a sort of Matatu, like a mini bus with a 'Top up Roof'. In this National park we see Elephants, Lions, Hippo's, Hyena's.
Baboon: It's not the size that matters...

Trade my sunglasses by the Masai
Next to seeing a lot of these beautiful animals we had a lot of fun. We stayed at a camping between all these animals. At nighttime they seem to be a bit more agressive as they look so beautiful and friendly during daytime. Peter went one night out of his tent to go to the toilet. After he was finished on the toilet and wanted to return to his tent he heard a big ROARR of an animal. Peter stayed on the toilet for half an hour......
The Masai Mare National Park is owned by the Tribe Masai. They have a cattle of cows, goats, chickens and some dogs. All these animals produce a lot of shit. If you mix it with grass you can make some beautiful houses. Stinks a bit, but not bad.
These Masai man, wear very colourful rags. These colourful clothing scares dangerous animals away. In their little village they showed us all the materials they make themselfes. They were really happy to trade these products against the western products. For these huge sunglasses you see on the picture, I traded a couple of bracelets and a necklets. Had a good laugh with these Masai man. I bought also a knife of them. Might protects me in the dangerous streets here in Thika.
