Probably
the greatest rock / country bands ever. The
Eagles.
Founded in 1971 the have been entertaining me since I was 2 years old. I
now have nearly all of the original albums on vinyl, first editions ( this
has cost me a lot of money and time). The album cover is from "One of
these Nights". One of the best album covers I've seen, ever. You can
link to one on the fan-sites by clicking on to the cover. I waited 14
years after they split up to see them live and I had my chance at
Murrayfield stadium, Edinburgh, a couple of years ago. I was 4 feet from
the stage and it blew my mind away. |

T'Pau
- An excellent late 80's / early 90's. Whom I had the pleasure of
meeting in Glasgow in 1989 ( no I wasn't stalking them. I stopped off for
a drink after the concert and bumped into them drinking in the Hotel) They
reformed a couple of years ago but were unable to re-create the public
interest the made originally. I still like them and I still occasionally
play the albums, unfortunately they have now completely split up. (sob!!) |

Jeff
Wayne's War of the Worlds
- This is my chill out record. I love to sit, if there is nothing on TV,
read one of the books on the previous page and have this playing in the background. If
you have never heard of it WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN.....MARS? It is a musical
adaptation of H.G. Wells book, War of the Worlds, starring Phil Lynott (Thin
Lizzy) and Richard Burton to name but 2. |
