You will become extremely familiar with this weapon as it forms the basis of your armory and you will use it during most of your training. Though not fully automatic it offers a 3 round burst mode - this is extremely useful if used correctly - targets can be taken down with 3 shots to the body, hence an accurate burst will take out an enemy.

It is also light, allowing fast movement - with a high rate of fire and plenty of spare ammunition it offers a significant threat to the opposition. The iron sights are relatively thin making aiming at distance easier than with a lot of other weapons. You also get six spare magazines and this, combined with the lack of automatic mode, gives you a plenty of ammunition to play with.
