QIGONG

Qigong [pronounced chi kung] is the ancient Chinese art of longevity. Qi is the energy of life, the vital energy which flows through the network of meridians in the body and connects with the energy of the universe. Gong is a term which translates to work, mastery, and training. Literally, Qigong is a way of working with the energy of life, to master the energy of life. If this flow of Qi is blocked it causes illness, disease, and shortness of life whereas the practice  of Qigong helps stimulate and strengthen this powerful energy.

When Qigong is practised as a daily discipline, tremendous amounts of energy can be built up in an individual. Qigong is empowering, turning the weak to strong, the infirm to healthy and the unfulfilled to happiness. Qigong can be used by the healthy as well as the ill as it benefits the mind, body and spirit.It is one of the most broadly applicable systems of self-care in the world. Qigong combined with stretching maximises the flow of energy through the body, which calms the mind and uplifts the spirit to develop ones full potential. Qigong is a wonderful way to bring forth the energy of life and inner peace.
