These pictures were taken with a Kodak Advantix camera. I scanned them myself.
(Eve's absence had made me more self-reliant, in some ways. I am still learning things about my scanner, though.)
Even with my amature photography, you can see how delightful it was for me to drive around Simpson County in autumn. Flowers were still in bloom, the sky was a brilliant blue, and the leaves were a riot of colors -- scarlet, russet, honey gold, lively green, yellow, orange marmalade ... all because of the deciduous forests native to this part of the country.  (If you don't know the meaning of
deciduous, go look it up -- right now! You'll remember it better than you would if I just told you.)
