Topic Sentence: The topic
sentence is the one that synthesizes the paragraph, or, extracts the general
idea about the topic that we are developing.
Definition paragraph: In this paragraph is explained the meaning or the
concept of the key word or principal idea. Words frequently used in the
paragraph: It is defined since, it is a type of.
Classification paragraph: When
one writes a paragraph of classification there are grouped things or ideas of
the same type in specific categories.
Descriptive paragraph: it describes
the object, person, idea or situation about which one speaks. On having
described, it is necessary to follow some logical order; go from the general thing to the particular
thing, from the external thing to the internal thing; if the description is of
a temporary process, it is possible to go from the past to the present or vice
versa, etc. On having written a descriptive paragraph it is necessary to take
care of the use of adjectives.
Paragraph of comparison or contrast: In this one two objects are compared, persons, ideas or situations,
confirming them in order that the reader estimates their differences, their
similarities or both things. On having elaborated a paragraph of comparison or
contrast they can follow two methods: they can plant first the characteristics
of one of the things, persons or ideas that want to be compared, and then to
enunciate the characteristics of other one, to produce the contrast. Or,
different aspects or parts can be compared one to one of that one that is
compared.

Write one topic sentence for each of the
following topics:

cables of aluminum, and this company is located at the same place where I

complete paragraph about it. You should use a good topic sentence and
adequately detailed supporting sentences. You do not have to include a
concluding sentence if you do not wish to do so.
I just love my job. The name of the
company where I work is SURAL and in English means South American of Alloys. It
is 30 years in operation. I work in the Management of Supply; I am a chief of
the department of supply store. I have been working there for about 12 years now.
It’s so good work in there.
My co workers are so friendly and they
know a lot about the company and that’s why they do their job so well. My
immediate boss is a very cool person and he’s always teaching us something new.

Write paragraphs:
(a) One Definition
paragraph of at least seven sentences.
The geography
is the science that studies the spatial distribution of the entire natural
(physical) or human phenomena in the surface of the globe. Geography analyzes
the interdependence between the geographical areas, the natural processes, the
social and cultural activities.
(b) One Classification
paragraph with seven or more sentences.
In the
terrestrial three types of rocks are distinguished: Igneous rocks: rocks formed
by the solidification of magma or lava. Metamorphic rocks: rocks formed by
solid state alteration of rocks already consolidated of the bark of the Earth,
when they remain submitted to an energetic environment very different from that
of their formation. Sedimentary rocks: rocks formed by the consolidation of
sediments, materials proceeding from the erosion of previous rocks, or rainfall
from dissolution.

liters and liters of soda light I have to say that Pepsi is the best, because
it does not have this flavor as sweet as other brands. In addition the price is
always below that the competitors. The design both, the tin and the bottles are
nice enough. In the promotions that they do in discotheques and pubs, the
stewardesses are always nicer that those of other brands. Therefore, for my Pepsi
it is the best.
