SABBATH LETTER 22: Sabbath Visits with Baguio Brethren
Dear Brethren,
It is 2:00 a.m. here in my room 104 of the Pages Hall. I just spent a portion of the Sabbath afternoon visiting some of my friends in La Trinidad, who were members of the golden era of the Worldwide Church of God when Herbert W. Armstrong was the leader.
This is the second time I visited Baguio City since I wrote my Sabbath Letter 21 on August 7, 2004. I scheduled my visit here every first Sabbath of the month. Of course, next First Sabbath of the month will fall already during the Feast of Tabernacles 2004. It is not likely, Brethren, that this would be my First Feast of Tabernacles in World Economic Forum near Mt. Nebo, Jordan.
Anyway, this Sabbath afternoon I was able to see my sister, Gloria Ortiguero, with Jerry her husband, who conducted a meeting with the leaders of their congregation at BPI building, La Trinidad. I met friends, whom I have not seen for a long time, and I took pictures of them hoping I could post them into my website, which will be seen by many of our brethren throughout this earth.
It’s amazing! I tried to put my own website into the Internet by myself, but it took me 1 month to do it! And not without the final help of my son, Joseph, who is a Net Programmer. I finally realized I would need my son to build my homepage into the Internet and maintain my Franklin1335 website: http://www.geocities.com/franklin_alcopra. One way to look at the Internet is to regard it as a vast ocean of weather disturbances with so many pirates lurking in it!
My son is busy as a Net Programmer in Comtech Worldwide Solutions, but he managed to build my homepage and onwards to maintaining it. You may have remembered him when I wrote in Sabbath Letter 4 about his disadvantages in formal education. But thanks to God he is already employed in one of the most prestigious fields in computer as a Net Programmer.
After visiting the Worldwide Church of God congregation, I proceeded to the residence of Dr. Mac Cadatal and his wife, Lourdes. It was an impromptu Sabbath visit, but it was rewarded because they were both at home. Their children were not at home. I saw their family picture with their grown up children. His son, Mark Anthony, is already married and his wife was also shown in the family picture. It was a joy to renew my acquaintance with Dr. Cadatal, whom I have not seen for a long time. (I met Lourdes more recently walking with Willy Rigonan).

Many of you, Brethren, would remember Dr. Cadatal because he pastors the Baguio Church of God in the nineties with Jerry Ortiguero and Med Maninang. I hope the pictures I took of them would also turn out good in my website. One thing I can say about them in their church activities is sincerity and faith in what they are doing for God. It is my duty to witness to the churches of God, but as to why, how, and when each individual member “makes and unmakes” his decisions is entirely between him and God. I understand Dr. Cadatal represent the Vineyard Church in Baguio/La Trinidad; Chris Mago, somewhere in Metromanila; and Rhuel Guerrero, somewhere in Laguna.
This is all for now, Brethren. Until next time,

I might add here a picture I took during the Feast of Trumpets in the Living Church of God congregation with Mr. Rod King, their Regional Pastor. The middle picture is the back (or front?) of Pages Hall I mentioned in Sabbath Letter 21. For better view, zoom out the picture to 200% in the view menu.
