Wow Frank..it's
been 7 long years without you. Time goes so quickly sometimes
there is no time to think but the thought of you is always very
close to my heart. I truly miss you more than words can express.
As this day comes closer, it gets harder to think of all that you
are missing and all that we are missing without you. The kids are
getting so big so quickly, you would love to be around them.
Nicholas reminds me of you so much and Amanda is your beautiful
girl who is going to be a teenager soon. The kids were always
very special to you and you to them. That will never change. You
were always so special to me and I always loved you so much. You
were my "little" brother. I only wish I could have
helped you more while you were sick and suffering. I continue to
miss you everyday and love you so much my buddy, my friend.

Another year has gone by and I'm still as sad, and missing you as
if it were yesterday. You are always with me in everything I do.
Do you see how big and beautiful Amanda and Nicholas are? Please

To the Dude,
Another year has gone by without you, and as always I still see
you in my dreams. I love and miss you everyday. You are not
forgotten by anyone in your family. Amanda and Nicholas talk
about you all the time as do mom, Jimmy, and Eileen. All I can
say is thanks for the memories and keep coming to me in my dreams
until the day I see you again, God Willing.

The Seed

One day a little girl planted a seed. The bag that the seed came
in read the following words:
Once you plant this seed it will grow really big and you will be
able to anywhere you want. It only works one time so choose your
place wisely.
So the little girl decided that she wanted to go to heaven and
visit her uncle who died a few years earlier. She would talk to
her plant and water it every day and water it all the time.
Despite all the people who said it wouldn't work, she still kept
watching over her plant like it was her baby. After about three
weeks she was starting to wonder if the other people were right.
The plant had only grown two inches since she planted it. That
night she lay beside her bed and prayed to God that her plant
would grow and she would get to see her uncle. Sure enough the
next day her plant was really tall and she was able to climb it.
As she was climbing a little man popped out and asked her where
she wanted to go. She responded by saying she would like to go to
heaven and see her uncle. The man said okay and she kept
climbing. She walked into and then out of a white cloud. She
looked up to see a golden gate where she saw many happy faces.
But she didn't see her uncle. As she walked past everyone she saw
him. Strangely enough as she ran to hug him she could feel him.
She decided to ask him one question before she had to leave. She
said,
"Dude? Do you know why you died?"
He hesitated before answering
"Well, as I was lying in the hospital I heard a voice and it
said that I should stop fighting and just come and live in heaven
with him."
"So why did you listen?" asked the little girl
" Because I wanted to be able to protect you wherever you
go, and I knew this was the only way."
They both knew it was time for her to go home. As she left she
looked back, just so she could have one more look. When she
finally reached earth again, she was walking home and she met a
little boy named Frank. They became friends and she realized how
much he reminded her of her uncle. Then everything her mother
said finally made sense. Friends really are angels without wings.
And now she had proof.
Dear Dude,
As another year passes, I wonder whether or not things are going
to magically change, and you are going to come back with us. But
when I realize that this is not going to happen, I just sit down
and write something. This story is dedicated to Dude, as well as
myself, this is how I picture heaven, with the golden gates and
everyone being happy all the time. I would like to say that I
miss you dude and I can't wait to see you tonight in my dreams!!!
I love you a lot and I hope that you enjoyed my story.

Dear Dude,
We still can't believe that it's been so long. I'm sure you are
doing fine up there in Heaven with Nanny, Grandpa, Aunt Honey,
Nanny Smith and even Beauty the cat! We all still miss you and we
