This wall is at the top of Thompson Pass past the DOT camp.  Park at the lake that is past the camp.  Then head across the highway and find a stream that flows under the highway and into the lake.  Follow the left hand bank of the stream upstream for about 10 minutes until a 65 foot wall is seeen on the hikers left.  Scrabble up to the base of the wall over tundra.  Over the past two years traffic has increased on this wall and the tundra is starting to show signs of wear, care should be taken as to not destroy the area.

This wall had seen some climbing traffic in the past as evident by the presence of a 1/4 bolt anchor and a single 3/8" hardware store bolt.  But very little information is available as to the names of the routes and when they where first climbed.  The wall was "rediscovered" on the 4th of July of 1998.
Since then routes have been named for reference puposes.  These route have been climbed in the past and may have already had names prior to 1998.  This wall has some of the best rock found in Valdez and is quite nice to climb on.  It does have some sharp pockets though and does not get much sun.  It is possible to climb on the wall in mid June but there will still be some snow at the base

There is also some good bouldering to be had near the base of the wall.  Landings can be uneven and a crash pad is not a bad idea.
