| Extra Solar Planets |
 |
| We continue to add to the list of extra solar planets. The number currently stands at over 40. So far the discoveries have done nothing to dispel the rare earth theory. Most of the planets found are hot gas giants (orbit near their star), and wild eliptical orbiters. To fulfill the promise of earthlike planets in a habitable zone, gas giants need to be located in circulal orbits similar to Jupiter and Saturn. The search is just beginning. |
