Biblical Maps and Photographs

Mount Ararat
"But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided; the fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed, the rain from the heavens was restrained, and the waters receded from the earth continually. At the end of a hundred and fifty days the waters had abated; and in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark came to rest upon the mountains of Ararat."

Capernaum
"Now when He heard that John had been arrested, He withdrew into Galilee; and leaving Nazareth He went and dwelt in Capernaum by the sea, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali, that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, toward the sea, across the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles - the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and for those who sat in the region and shadow of death light has dawned. From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Garden of Eden
"Now The Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there He put the man He had formed. And The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground - trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil."

Galilee
"One of the most famous Bible Places in Bible History is Galilee. Although born in Bethlehem in southern Israel near Jerusalem, Jesus Christ lived nearly His entire human life up in Galilee, in northern Israel, first at Nazareth, and then at Capernaum. Most of His ministry and miracles took place in Galilee."

Jerusalem
"Jerusalem is located on a high ridge, consisting of 3 hills. Along the east of the city is the Kidron Valley (in which runs the Brook Kidron, including the Pool of Gihon), and to the south is the Valley Of Hinnom. The Mount Of Olives, where Jesus Christ was arrested That Fateful Night, where He ascended into the heavens after His resurrection, and where The Return Of Jesus Christ will occur, is just to the east, across the Kidron Valley. The Lord walked many times through there on His way to Bethany to visit Martha and Mary and Lazarus."

The River Jordan
"The Jordan River exists in 3 sections, beginning in the north: From its multiple river sources (the Bareighit, the Hasbany from Mount Hermon, the Leddan, the Banias) to Lake Huleh. Lake Huleh to the Sea Of Galilee in Galilee, about 10 miles / 16 kilometers. From the Sea of Galilee to the Dead Sea, in a straight line about 65 miles / 105 kilometers. From its beginning in the north to its terminus at the Dead Sea, the elevation of the river drops tremendously - from the heights of Mount Hermon to the depths of the Dead Sea - a drop of about 2,380 feet. Due to its winding course, the river itself actually measures nearly 200 miles / 325 kilometers, over twice its direct distance. "

Judea
"Judea was a territory within the land of Israel whose boundaries were variously defined at different stages of Bible History, although Jerusalem was always within it. Known as the kingdom of "Judah" (see Jews At War With Israel) before the Babylonian exile (see Why Babylon? and King Nebuchadnezzar and Temple Mount Treasures), the territory became known as Judea after the return, and included most of the area west of the Jordan River. It expanded briefly during the dominance of The Maccabees, however by the time of Christ, the Romans designated Judea as the southernmost division of "Palestine," the other two being Samaria and Galilee. Under Roman rule, Judea was included within the province of Syria, and was governed by a procurator - Pontius Pilate being the most well-known."

The Seven Churches
"And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am The First and The Last: I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in My right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches."
