Did you know birds die from loneliness

so they can fly away to heaven's nest

I tired to spread my wings and my heart

and peered though storm clouds to see where you are

but nothing would let me in

A bed of dreams where my hopes lie restless

Stains on my pillow from fears unnoticed

Like a feather fallen from a dove

I keep on floating but can't rise above

Sepia toned dreams flashing

past and the present walkin' hand in hand

Minted leaves blow away, too cool to care

Unknown horizons I know make you scared
