Shown in this triangle are three of the quantities that you may solve:

  • I=current=flow of elections
  • E=voltage=electrical pressure that forces the electrons to flow
  • R=resistance=opposition to the flow of current
From the triangle above, the following formulas can be derived:
  • E=IR
  • I=E/R
  • R=E/I
Ohm's law can be summarized as follows:
  • Current is directly propotional to the Voltage
  • Current is inversely proportional to the Resistance
