I started to study music in 1953. At that time I studied Solfeggio and the Clarinet.

In 1958, I began accordion lessons and in 1966 I completed the accordion studies with grade 10 Diploma from the Canadian Accordion Teacher's Association (C.A.T.A.) with first class honours.

In 1968, I received Grade Four Theory Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music (First Class Honours). I also studied piano and presently hold a Grade Ten Diploma with First Class Honours form the Royal Conservatory of Music.

From 1961 to the present, I have held a variety of jobs. I also taught accordion and piano at the Italo-Canadian Music Centre and became Director from 1970 to 1992.

In 1971, I was congratulated by the Royal Conservatory of Music for teaching piano to a student awarded a Silver Medal for obtaining the highest marks in Ontario. Click on Isabella Ortis to view the letter.

In 1979, I took part, as an accordionist, in the television movie "Torn Between Two Lovers", starring George Peppard and Lee Remick.

I also took part in numerous performances at Massey Hall and the O'Keefe Centre. Performed as a volunteer musician for many community associations. Recorded and arranged for Ital-Record Distributing Company.

At present, I am teaching Piano, Accordion, Solfeggio and Theory privately.

Throughout my life, I have won many awards (such as the Kiwanis Music Award at the Kiwanis Music Festival Association in 1963) and became an active member of associations such as the Toronto Musicians' Association and the C.A.T.A. to just name a few. Today, I am an Affiliated Teacher of the Royal Conservatory of Music.

For the last several years, I have been teaching piano and accordion at the Columbus Centre. I also play Friday and Saturday nights at Mastroroberto Trattoria in Woodbridge. I'm also available for private parties such as weddings, etc.
