Deadline: ready before May 15th. 

Task

 

1)   Project Self Assessment.

            You should do a self assessment on your class project.  We are going to give you a  Go through the 7 C layers and the 7 W's and apply them to your class project.  Take the self assessment and post evidence from your project onto your WCM.

The Self Assessment will be graded based on the criteria below.  Each section should have at least seven examples and each example is worth 3 points.

Each sub item below is worth 21 points on the self assessment

GIVE PLENTY OF EVIDENCE.

            1)  What, Where, When, Which, Who, Why, How.  

                                +3 points for each W.                

Identity-  Take Screen Shots of the site and talk about how it applies to the site. Discuss your Vision, Mission for your tutorial.

           2)  Appearance- Use the 7'C's  +3 Points for each C

The 7x2 C's are: 
content, context
correctness, credibility
currency, continuity
completeness, coverage
consistency, conciseness
community, customization
compelling, creativity

 

           3)  HTML-  Use the ten commandments or any HTML code from book or you can use commands that are not in the book but that you have learned about.   (20 Points)

           4) Search Engine-  Seven Criteria to evaluate search engine on your tutorial.  7 S's

                        S1)  Most common entries like If or Chapter 1.

                        S2)  Search for a known entry to see the result.

                        S3)  Search for Blank

                        S4)  Search for Special Characters-  +, &, ?

                        S5)  Search for Case Sensitivity

                        S6)  Search for itself. i.e. (C++ Tutorial)

                        S7)  Search for Partial information or equivalencies

1) You get THREE points for identifying the program as JAVASCRIPT.<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=>

2) You get SIX points for identifying the variable declaration. (Var).

3) You get THREE points for identifying input/output (prompt and write).

 4) You get NINE points for identifying if or switch statement.

 5) You get THREE points for identifying the loop (For or While).

 6) You get THREE points for identifying function body and function call.

7) You get THREE points for identifying an object/object member and value.

8)  If you identify an Event you get THREE points

9) You get THREE points for identifying array.

           5)  Server Database Criteria-

                        D1)  What language are you using?

                        D2)  What database are you using?

                        D3)  What is the operating system?

                                    i.e.  Sun Solaris, Linux, Windows

                        D4)  What web system are you using?

                                        IIS, Apache,  TomCat

                        D5) What CGI Technology are you using?

                                        PHP, ASP,SSP

                        D6)  Is the domain name friendly and appropriate?

                        D7)  How is the Database integrated with HTML.

                                    ***Look in Chapter 20***

                        D8)  If you can show understanding of how to program a database.

                        D9)  If you know how insertion works.

                        D10)  If you know how deletion works.

                        D11)  If you know how modification works.

            Any other learning on database systems as long as its been categorized.

 

                6)  Security, Privacy and Ethics.

                        1)  If you understand and can explain an encryption program.

                        2)  Give examples of some evidence of security

                        3)  Give evidence of privacy.

                        4)  Give evidence that the operation of the site is ethical.

                        5)  Is the security breakable..

                        6) Other problems

                        7)  Is there validation in the text fields?  What is validation?
