Welcome to my website! My name is Paco Fernández, a fifth-year PhD student at the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Georgetown University. My concentration is syntax and clitic placement variation in Asturian, Galician and European Portuguese, a topic I am developing in my dissertation—which I am planning to defend in March this year! I am interested, among other things, in corpus development and in the Asturian language, both interests that I have managed to combine thanks to Eslema, a joint-project in collaboration with the Seminariu de Filoloxía Asturiana.
