Wishing
Just a couple of memories ago,
You said your life needed a change,
Thinking of me made your heart glow,
And that feeling was ever so strange.

That time in my life was the best of the past,
I hope it meant something to you,
The heart you just broke will surely mend fast,
Though bearing a scar very bold and new.

So you say I'm not stuck, but there you are wrong
Because everynight I still dream of you
Been waking up with wet eyes for so long
Always something that you never knew.

And now I can't quite grasp reality,
All the time I just want to sleep.
To dream of flowers, and rivers, and trees,
And to believe you aren't really a creep.

But if I could have just one more true wish,
I would wish for a world without lies,
Because that is the place where you hurt me the most,
And now you won't even look in my eyes.
