| Good Charlotte is actually not from Charlotte but from Annapolis, Maryland. Their first major single was "The Little Things" Most songs are written by personal experiences. Joel and Benji are identical brothers and write most of their songs and are Maryland natives. Billy joined the group when he appeared at a performance with his acoustic while he was still in a band called Overload. The brothers were kicked out of their apartment and moved into Billy's. While they were unsigned, GC played with Blink 182, Bad Religion, Eve 6, Nine Days, and opened for Lit on a sold-out East Coast tour. A demo was sent to the Philly station, WPLY and were signed by EPIC RECORDS. |
