Forever
I walked through the hanging willow vines,
Down the creaking, wooden stairs to the path at the end.

I walked for what seemed like forever,
But this was worth it,
Forever and ever

I thought of my parents waking up to find I was gone,
And to find the tape of snoring I head left on.
Then about the time they found the bunched up pillows,
I would be quietly sneaking throught the willows.
Tonight I had a wonderful mission,
To reach the peir and the one who would listen.

Finally I reached the end of the path,
Sighed and stood to watch the stars take a dark, soothing bath.

Then I heard my name called from under the peir,
There he was watching me,
Casually standing there.

He said I had watched the stars for hours
But then I glanced up and they were bringing showers.

Showers of light,
Of silver, blue, pink, and green.
I was speechless, and he had seen.

He ran up behind me, and right before I fell,
He caught me, his eyes casting a spell.

He picked me up and we walked along the shore.
The pier creaked and moaned as if it were sore.

We walked and talked and walked for hours.
Watching the sky deliver magnificent showers

Tonight I could die in his arms, and nothing would matter,
He said someday we would be together forever.

We would get on a boat with capacity of two,
Never look back at the world not so new.
The perfect world standing ruined and tall,
The only perfect thing were the stars,
Not the world at all.
