| Support groups are the pillars of our existence.... when you feel like crawling under a rock and giving up, it is the support network that you have, who pulls you through... that is how I have survived this insane world of Autism Spectrum. Some are online, some have meetings, and sometimes it�s just someone who you have met in the same boat. I personally gravitate towards others in my situation, initially because it takes away my loneliness and isolation (they understand). And then because these fabulous persons are rich in some of the most valuable things in life..... Patience, experience, fire, exhaustion, rat.....And Mostly Humanity. When you look into the eyes of these persons, you see the divine. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| Stories of others on the spectrum inspire me. They are windows inside the mysterious world my son lives in. I found these people as amazing as any Natural wonder DonnaWilliams The auther of Nobody Nowwhere, the first Autobiography of an autistic person that I read. I got goose bumps while reading on her personal page, about how diet problems affected her. This motivated me to take the Dr's advice about diet, since it is such a huge endever. Robert Naseef' He is a Mental Health professional and a parent of a Developmentally Disabled child. He is very insiteful and does a lot of Fathers stuff. I saw Dr Naseef at a workshop with Stephen Shore. The experience really helped me to feel whole again. Stephen Shore A man diagnosed developmentally delayed... I saw my son all grown up. Mr. Shore is an expert at helping people with more functional Central nervous systems to understand what it is like to be on the spectrum. I was inspired.
