Another
Night Of Loneliness
here we are with another night of loneliness,
two hearts within the covers trying to understand the emptiness,
tracing four walls for a mirror image,
of what it was like before their faces brought signs of all the drainage,
toiling with emotions of what they may regret,
away from the bitterness they'd like to forget,
as the evening calls the night,
their eyes remain in touch with the awakened fight,
where dreams reminisce only that of the impending battle,
of each and the bruise that shows from their constant rattle,
and as the daylight brings together the coming dawn,
they try to wonder how it would be with the other gone,
so, they put one foot before the other,
as they begin the day with misery that comes to smother,
what should be moments for a new start,
but, all too often, they go back to what has happened to each others heart,
for they stare upon the eyes,
that has weakened from lonely cries,
where the day faces another challenge to lie,
about love left somewhere to wither and die,
they watch as the sun starts its fade,
to once again drown in the walls of a daily shade,
within whispers they refuse to confess,
in yet another night of loneliness.
