| Step by Step Instructions on how to download a wav to your AOL sound folder |
| Right click on the name of the wav you wish to download to your hard drive. In almost all cases the wav will be underlined. A box containing a menu will pop up with a few choices Choose "Save target as" The download will begin but it will pause within seconds to offer you the chance to change the destination of the download. You will see a box showing you the area of your hard drive that the download will go to if you do not change it...usually your "download" folder. At this point you need to re-direct the wav to your AOL Sound folder, or other folder of your choice. Click the little arrow next to the "save in" window of the box. Navigate through the drop down menu (which is a map of YOUR hard drive) and find the folder. One route to your AOL sound folder might be:- My computer C Drive Programs AOL6 (or what ever version you are using) Sounds Once a wav is in your AOL sound folder you will hear it when some one plays it in a chat room To play the wav yourself type {S followed by the name of the WAV for example {S Hello If you find you become a little addicted to wavs you may wish to use an organiser to manage them and send them in to the room without you having to type them.
