Pull a fine section of hair through the centre of a cardboard circle.
Tie coloured embroidery thread, at least twice the length of the hair length, at the top.
Make sure that the ends are even.
Next tie on 2 more different coloured threads in the same way. You should end up with 6 strands of thread...2 in each of your 3 colours.
Pick up one strand of the top thread and wrap it tightly around the hair and other threads five times.
Then lift the other strand of the top thread out of the way.
To change colours, hold the top colour thread against the hair and pick up 2 threads of the new colour. Wrap them until you want to change again.
Continue wrapping all the way down and past the end of the actual hair, switching colurs as you go.
To finish knot the 2 threads of the last colour you used twice.
Finally twist the ends of the threads together and slip a bead or a charm on. To secure, knot all the threads and trim to 1 cm.



Remember you can add beads and charms all the way down if you like.
