| Many people ask why I love Jesus. I reply, "Because He first loved me." Through the high school heartbreaks, My Jesus's love remained with me My dad has rescued me from possible trouble so many times that I know, My Jesus protects me Prayers have been answered before I think to pray them, I know, My Jesus hears me Through the tragic deaths, and the tears and the pain, My Jesus wept with me and comforted me No friends, no family, no words, no sympathies, no earthly glue could fix my broken, mourning heart, But my Jesus healed me Though I have read the Bible many times, this time I was compelled to read the book of Matthew, and My Jesus spoke to me My spirit was lifted and my understanding became new and clear, My Jesus changed me No longer was I blind to the schemes of this world, My Jesus enlightened me No longer would I mourn without rest, My Jesus brought me peace No longer would I be enslaved to my addictive sins, My Jesus freed me No longer will I pay the eternal price for my past mortal sins, My Jesus died for me I will live in the presence of God, which is Heaven, because My Jesus rose for me I will serve my Jesus and live for Him the rest if my days because, My Jesus lives for me My Jesus loves me and He'll do the same for you. |
