Name: Moreno (mo-RAY-no) Virote, which means "Dark Power". Oooo... Very creepy if I might say so myself. Anyway, he doesn't have any nicknames, and I don't think that he wants any, so...

Fav./Least Fav. Color: His favorite color (O.o... Isn't this kind of weird. The man who has lived for over 2,000 years has time to pick out his favorite color... Oh well...) is blue. He doesn't know why, nor does he care. His least favorite color is pink and yellow, naturally, as they are much too bright for his personality...
Fav./Least Fav. Food: He has a taste for curry, actually. Likes the texture. He dislikes Mielug, a puddingish dessert from when he lived on Asaiah.
Major Likes: He likes the Divya. A lot. In fact, he couldn't live without it. Literally. HA! He also likes being catered to, and not having to work, as well as reading and creating evil things with his precious divya.
Major Dislikes: He HATES his brother, with a passion. This is understandable, as his brother did run him off the planet. He dislikes people who lie, and those who cannot think for themselves.
NPC Friends and Family:
Manna Virote //30th wife// //25// Manna Virote is a dark looking, brooding woman of 25 years of age. She is Moreno's 30th wife, as they all die of old age, since he stays the same forever and ever. Manna is very beautiful in her own way, with dark brown (almost black) eyes, and long brown hair. She is fairly tall, standing at about 5' 10'' and has darkly tanned skin and a long, lean body. She tends not to say much, one of the qualities that Moreno likes, and prefers to read in her library in her free time. Manna takes care of most of the work around their palace, and only enjoys the company of her servants. She was forced into the marriage with Moreno, and wanted to get out of it, but what do you say to the man who could kill you any time he wanted? Not much, indeed.

Reginald Merne //Advisor// //358// Reginald is a permanent Advisor in the court of Moreno. He has been with him for over 300 years, and in that time, the two have become quite close. Reginald is very wise, and actually tried to prevent Moreno from attack Asaiah. This didn't work, but he is still in good favor with Moreno. He is a very short man, and a little on the plump side... ^^ He has a grey beard and wears round little glasses.


Appearance: Moreno, no matter how he tries to look intimidating, just can't pull it off. He is of an average height, only about 5' 10'', and a rather slender build. Although looks can be deceiving, his aren't, and he really just isn't built that strongly. He gets this from his father, who was not put on Asaiah to be a warrior, but a religious leader. Moreno has rather skinny and long limbs as well, and doesn't look like he could lift 50 pounds. His skin is a bit less than tan, but not terribly pale, not so that he looks sick. It is unbelievably soft for a man of his temperament, and this surprises many people who give him a handshake.

Moreno has a very loving face, again from his father, with bright blue eyes and long blond lashes. His oval-shaped face hasn't aged a bit, thanks to the divya, so his skin is still very fair and young. Along with his eyes, he has a medium sized nose and and rather tight mouth that rarely smiles anymore. When he was younger, his face was the most animate of all the people, but now, it rarely moves from its frozen frown and drowsy eyes. On top of his head is a mop of light brown hair which is always adorned with a thin gold crown. His hair is naturally wavy, and he has it cut about 1 inch length on the top of his head and tapered in the back. He tends to be a little OC with the care of himself, but always looks well kept.

He usually sticks with very expensive, put together garb, never looking 'bad' or unkempt. He tends to stick with royal blues and reds, but doesn't overdo it. He likes gold jewelry as well, and that's usually what ties his whole outfit together. Moreno usually dresses in white shirts with blue or dark red dress pants, as well as a nice coat. He is never seen without the divya on his left wrist, as well as his wedding ring on the appropriate finger.

Moreno doesn't have much that would make his stand out as far as how he moves. He does seem to move with a kingly stride, and is quite graceful. He can't recall a time in the past 1,000 years that he tripped, actually. He tends to blink his eyes a little more than most people do, but this is a consequence from the lack of sleep. He tries hard to have the mannerisms of someone who doesn't care, so that he can show people that he is a hardcore king, one that won't bend and snap at the next problem. His voice also gives him some power over his people. It doesn't really seem to fit the rest of his appearance, as it is deep and rather gravelly.


Personality: Moreno has a very dynamic personality. He has changed a lot over the last 2,000 years, from a carefree, happy-go-lucky young boy, to a easily irritated, rather serious man. He has acquired great wisdom over the years, and has found that he understands too much. This has changed him dramatically.

When he was on Asaiah, Moreno was a very outgoing, somewhat childish boy. He was incredibly enthusiastic about life in general, but worried the people because he didn't seem as focused on the Book as his younger brother was. Instead of studying with his father, he was out and about, doing whatever pleased him, more often than not getting into trouble. He never meant any harm, but it was just his childish personality that made him curious to everything around him. As he got older, he showed no signs of wanting to grow up.

Now, his personality has metamorphisized. He is now a very static person, not changing his appearance, facial expressions, or even movements at times, unless around his close advisors and wife. On the outside to his people, he is a fearless leader, someone you'd make a statue of in the town square. He only shows his people a courageous man who only wants the much deserved revenge on his brother, the one that stole his throne. When in public, he is very 'royal'. He sits up straight, with no smile on his face, and doesn't bend for anyone. Everyone is in awe of him, but they don't fear him, because they have heard stories of his past, when he was on Asaiah.

To his advisors and close relatives, he is a bit different. They can detect traces of the old Moreno, the Asaiah Moreno in him. Every once in awhile, he will smile, or even laugh with them. In truth, he really does love to smile, and wants the best for his nation. The one who sees this best is his wife, because all of them have seen how truly caring Moreno is, and how he doesn't like to harm anyone. The only time he is at all violent is when his brother's name is spoken, or he is under control of the Divya. The all-powerful divya has most of the control over him, but he personality is strong enough that it hasn't completely taken him over yet, but not strong enough to defeat it.


History: Moreno, as most know, was to inherit the kingdom of Asaiah. He was born as Erel's first son, and grew up in luxury, as nobody could possibly threaten his father's job, much less take it. His father ruled the city and planet, and took care of the Book, teaching his sons the laws and trying to get Moreno focused on the knowledge so that he could rule later on. However, even by the time Moreno was 10, many people decided that he couldn't be the right leader, that his brother Meir was the rightful leader. The gods had made a mistake certainly... Moreno was always in trouble, and didn't want to learn about what his father was teaching him. Yes, he cared about his people, but there was many other things he could do. He would worry about being a leader later!

This came to be almost a threat to half the city. There was a group who followed Meir as they believed that he was the true brother whom the gods chose to be the next leader. Erel, in his last years tried to quell this coming tension, but he couldn't stop it. When Moreno was 25 and Meir was 24, Erel passed on, leaving the throne up for grabs.

Only one hour after he died, the planet was brawling. The clashing of swords, the screams of people dying could be heard throughout the planet. This lasted for one year before Moreno's side began to lose. Sitting in the throne room with his wife, a messenger came in and told him the condition, that they were going to lose. In a last ditch effort to out do his brother, he opened the holy box containing the divya and Book, said a blessing, and took the Divya of Eternity, the most powerful of all. After praying for another hour, he gathered his faithful people, and flew into space in search of a life-filled planet on which to live. After months, they found one and setting down. Moreno began working on his plan.

Moreno was going to raise a nation, breed the people to create an invincible race, one that would later crush his brother's planet. He wouldn't let this slip through his hands like the throne did. He was angry enough, but the power of the divya fed him more, and he became consumed in it, almost part of the divya himself. His plan went as planned, and after 2,000 years, created a planet of the some of the most powerful beings in the galaxy. He ruled it with an iron fist, a soft iron fist. ^^ He didn't oppress his people, but there wasn't much understanding for those who committed crimes. His people do love him for the most part. After 2,000 years of his rule, Moreno was almost ready to unleash his plan.

At the time that the two planets crossed, he was going to begin attacking, but then he realized something. This would be much easier with the book of knowledge. But in order for that, he would need the Divya. He sent his 5 strong generals into the city to find these divya, so he can open the Book, and conquer Asaiah.
