This place isn't for everyone. Similar to the Megatokyo "rants", this place will become a collection of thoughts nobody wants to know, and things I feel should be said. I strongly recommend you head back, become some of this stuff I will only write to feel better knowing it's in writing. That can't be good.

Life is akin to candles: you know a good candle from a steady flame and a long life, but sometimes a bright, short-lived one is vital.

Mankind wishes to ascend to the stars, to travel distances unthinkable to the most imaginative. And what holds him back is something considered basic to society itself; money. When you see things such as the international space station and other grand-scale spatial projects on the news, the first thing you will hear/notice is always the price. How can mankind even dream of defying a natural enemy such as gravity, when it is enslaved by one of its own creations? True advancement can never be bought.

At times I wonder why I even bother to be online. It only takes a few minutes in a chatroom, discussion forum, or in a game to discover that idiots not only exist, but thrive. In nature, a thing such as the Idiot would be a chimera-like plant. Fast-spreading, but gone quickly to leave room for the longer-lived. But the Idiot lives online, and the room, while not always free, is limitless. I consider myself to be a person of strong morals, ready to verbally beat down those that ignore the fact that they are not Gods entitled to every right. Nothing sickens me more than those who disrespect others, who believe they are superior to others, and believe that, since it's the internet, nothing can stop them. What's sad is that they are quite right, though not completely. There still exists no real way of putting a stop to these Idiots when they get out of hand. You can ban them from somewhere, and because of some other, smarter idiot they will be able to get back in. You can try to vote-kick them off some game servers, only to be kicked yourself for bothering the uncaring masses with a vote-kick (and of course, the Idiot goes scott-free). Why can we not have some manner of tools to handle these idiots better? Why is there not some way, by now, to remotely send them a 220V shock? Or better yet, melt their motherboards? Sickeningly, because the Idiots would turn those weapons against us. Enter an area ruled by the Idiots, and you get zapped. No more mobo. Obviously, after some time, no-one would dare enter that area (sadly not even the Idiots), but the damage to the innocent would have been done. What's worse is that, with these weapons, however powerful, the Good, Intelligent people would be massively outnumbered. One needs look no further than the discussion forums of any very popular game, preferrably FREE to play (Counter-Strike for example), to find a incredibly MASSIVE grouping of these Idiots. Vulgarity and profanity will abound, name-calling on sexual preferrance will proverbially flow as water (and why anyone would be offended by this is beyond me; unless they are pre-pubescent children unsure of their own sexuality, any reasonable person realizes that being called "gay" isn't even an insult or accusation.), and in general stupidity will be prevalent. When the more mature scoff at these individuals and state that they are "children", they are correct. I will agree, of course, that not all children are immature. Not all children will degenerate into he blithering slobs that I name here Idiots. Quite the contrary, I know a few intelligent children myself, and I was one of them (thankfully) myself. Not the quotes on the word children above. Head to any schoolyard and you will see the same behaviour there as you would see from the Idiots. Perhaps not the generality, but at least a few of the kids will be acting in a similar way. Maybe it's unfair to the more decent young'uns, but sadly it's a fitting term.
Slightly off-track there. Back to the point.
Something needs be done against these idiots. The more decent of us, those I write this for, need to fight back against the idiots. An all-out manhunt would be strongly justified, but improbable (and here yet another use for the term I like so much: sadly). How can we fight? Take incriminating records of the morons in action. Chatlogs, condumps (console dumps, a quake-engine command that drops the contents of the console into a txt file: usage "condump Idiot.txt" without brackets), even URL links to the targeted Idiot (with proof of identity such as IP addresses) showing that they are abusing their privileges as internet-users. Hearing that people could be banned from their ISPs for making lewd, racist, sexist, and generally offensive comments gave me a great deal of hope for our kind. It is the only weapon we have, but oh what a weapon... Not only must those Idiots deal with being banned from something they cannot bypass (their ISPs), but in most cases those same idiots will have to answer to mommy and daddy and the inevitable question: "Why is the internet connection no longer available?".

I may sound ruthless, I may sound mean. I certainly hope I do, because I am sick and tired of fighting my morals and self-control to not become one of those Idiots. Those of you that know me from the PF forums will know that, at times, I can be the worst son of a bitch you've ever seen. In life, and online, you do not want to piss me off. Luckily I am an easy-going person, generally, and it is a hard task to accomplish. But I fight constantly against these Idiots, and something must be done. Of course I realize that, by this, some will consider me to be one of those "whiners" always complaining about cheaters and lamers... Oh how far the Idiots have spread.
