Abortion- Im very much pro-choice... I think that we all need to have the option of doing what we want with our bodies and it's not murder, no matter what anyone says. Im not saying that people should just have unprotected sex just because they know they can have an abortion later. But if you make a mistake one time or you're raped then you shouldnt have to go through a pregnancy. Sure you could give the baby up for adoption, but a lot of adopted kids resent their parents or end up not living the life their birth parents wanted them to have. No one should be able to control what a woman does to her body except herself.
Capital Punishment- Strongly disagree... I was on the fence with this one until I saw the movie The Life of David Gale. It made me realize that you can never be 100% sure that the person you've convicted actually did the crime. Plus, by killing a murderer, you're doing the exact same thing that they did, no matter how awful their crime was. Life in prison is much worse of a punishment for someone; dying is the painless punishment, which really isnt what that person deserves, is it?
Gay Rights- I really really hate discrimination and I hate when I stand up for gay rights and people are like "Ooooohhh somebody's a lesbian". God can people be any more ignorant? I'm not gay but maybe I have friends who are and don't like them being mad fun of. Just like your skin color and your nationality, being a homosexual is something that you're born with. One in ten people is gay, so if you look around in your everyday life, like a class at school for example, then you may realize that you encounter gay people and you'd never even know it. People should always be taught to embrace who they are instead of be ashamed of it. Sure we can tolerate any kind of person, but we should really focus on accepting them.
