This is Furball. I adopted her in July of 2000 from Second Chance Pet Adoptions. I had been considering getting DC a companion, but wanted to wait until he was a bit older. I guess some higher power had different plans for me that Saturday morning. I went to Petsmart to buy DC a new litter box and brought him home a new little sister instead. I have yet to regret my decision. I have no idea why someone would throw away such a wonderful kitty, but that is thier loss. She is a perfect little angel-kitty (well, she tries to be anyway) and I cannot imagine my life without her.
Furball is a very snuggly kitty and she can be very persistent when she wants attention, especially in the wee hours of the morning. Her favorite toys are milk jug caps and balled up socks. She likes to play with her "big brother," DC, but would probably rather be an only "child" if she had the choice. Her favorite place to be is wherever her mommy is, particularly resting on mommy's shoulder, something she has done since she was a kitten but never grew out of.
In case I haven't emphasized it enough , Furball is a great kitty and a wonderful companion. Many people do not like the idea of rescuing "second-hand" pets because they think that there is something wrong with them. That couldn't be farther from the truth. Not every animal that is surrended to a rescue organization or animal shelter has "problems." Usually, it is the owners who have the problems because they either do not know (or wish to learn) how to train their pets, have them spayed/neutered, or just do not realize what kind of commitment is required to own a pet. If you decide that a rescued dog or cat is just what you need in your life, it will not be a decision that you will regret. Trust me.
