This is my "big boy," DC. He was found wandering a parking lot with his mom and littermates on October 5, 1999, when he was just a tiny kitten. As you can see, he has blossomed into a very handsome young man. He's not a cuddly cat, but does appreciate attention on his own terms. He shows his appreciation in the form of head bonks and being half Siamese, he is a very vocal cat always has something to say.
His favorite think to play with is a flashlight beam and he'll chase it across the floor for hours. I think the flashlight would burn out before he will! His favorite place to be is sitting in the windowsill, watching the birdies out on the lawn. He spends the majority of his time sleeping (bet you're not surprised, LOL!).
DC is a rescue kitty and a very wonderful one at that! Many people do not like the idea of rescuing "second-hand" pets because they think that there is something wrong with them. That couldn't be farther from the truth. Not every animal that is surrended to a rescue organization or animal shelter has "problems." Usually, it is the owners who have the problems because they either do not know (or wish to learn) how to train their pets, have them spayed/neutered, or just do not realize what kind of commitment is required to own a pet. If you decide that a rescued dog or cat is just what you need in your life, it will not be a decision that you will regret. Trust me.
