If there is one thing I have always been into it's playing music. I started playing the Saxophone back in the 5th grade but never really enjoyed the woodwinds. The next year I took up the drums and pretty much played all through high school. I've been in dozens of bands through the years which have included everything from Rock, Classic Rock, Country and Original.
When you have been playing as long as I have you pick up on things folks are doing around you. Over the years, I've managed to teach my self the guitar and enjoy playing classic tunes with my git-fiddle.
I like jamming on everything from Waylon Jennings to Led Zeppelin. I also enjoy classic country as well as bluegrass and of course 'some' modern rock.
Since moving to VA I have been in a state of semi-retirement, however; recently I've reach out to local Southside VA musicians looking for some folks to jam with. I have ample room up at my place near Fairystone State Park for rehearsal. My hope is to put a band together that can jam and have a good time.
