Supervised and trained student and staff workers in a variety of activities, including computer data entry, computer hardware and software management, data analysis, telecommunications, and technical writing and editing. Coordinated computer-related work and troubleshooting with other local grants, university departments and offices, the national grant office, a data entry company, hardware and software providers, and Tulane Infrastructure Services. Designed and implemented complex databases (demographics, questionnaires, surveys, and tracking). Managed all transfers of project data. Designed and prepared computer systems and user documentation. Managed all project computers, peripherals, and telecommunications.

(1993–1995). Worked on the GIMME 5 project, a major component of a nation-wide National Cancer Institute (NCI) "5-A-Day" program grant. Designed and prepared graphics, protocols, and slides. Developed SAS programs to translate and combine data for analysis. Did additional work for the Child and Adolescent Trial for Cardiovascular Health (CATCH) and the Bogalusa Heart Study.

(1991–1993). Worked on the "Adolescents, Firearms, and Violence: A National Study" (a National Institute of Justice grant) and "The New Orleans Homeless Substance Abusers Project" (a major component of a nation-wide National Institute of Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse grant) projects. Managed all departmental computers, peripherals, and telecommunications, including a computer lab. Designed, implemented, and managed a 20-user Novell 3.11 network for the department. Developed SPSS programs to translate and combine data for analysis.
