Researched and prepared a wide variety paper and online documentation for several different computer systems and software applications. Designed and implemented content-oriented Intranets. Created graphics to accompany paper and online documents. Tested software.

Senior Publication Specialist, National Finance Center (NFC), U.S. Department of Agriculture (transferred October 2000). Secret Security Clearance. Researched and wrote the initial draft of a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Implementation Plan for USDA's National Finance Center and worked on the team that prepared the final copy of the Plan.

Senior Publications Specialist, Reserve Headquarters Support (RHS), Commander, Naval Reserve Force (COMNAVRESFOR) (transferred March 2000). Wrote and edited computer-related project design and management documentation and computer manuals and specifications. Developed, interpreted, and/or recommended documentation standards, instructions, and style guides as required. Gathered information from internal (interviews, specifications, diagrams, charts, etc.) and external (Government and trade publications, the Internet, etc.) sources and from using prototype or implemented systems. Created graphic and multimedia presentations to portray data within technical documents, for stand-alone presentations, and on the Internet and WWW. Verified that all documentation prepared by ACS-GSG for delivery to the Government conforms to the documentation standards, instructions, and style guides as required by the Delivery Order. Developed and managed a property inventory database.

Senior Systems Development Specialist (promoted 1996), Technical Information Management System (TIMS) Documentation and Quality Assurance Task, Minerals Management Service (MMS), U.S. Department of the Interior (1995-2000). Medium-level ADP Security Clearance. Designed and implemented two prototype Intranet sites for TIMS. Worked as part of a team of analysts who maintain the sites developed from the prototypes. Created original HTML programs and converted other documents into HTML code from a variety of formats. Created and edited graphics for use online and in paper documents. Consulted with end users, government analysts, and program managers to develop, review, write, and edit ADP-related project management (standards and technical specifications) and user documentation. Wrote the TIMS Users Training Guide. Performed quality assurance analysis and testing of programs and documentation, including Y2K issues.

Technical Writer (1995). Same basic job description as above with a primary emphasis on technical writing.
