Everyone stumbles once in while,
But this isn’t going to be solely about that.
I just want to tell you how much you mean to me
And how proud I am of you.
Mothers Day is when children honour their mothers
I have never wanted to honour you so much before.
Your strength and courage astounds me daily.
You are an inspiration to me.
You are my mother, and I only have one in this world
And that one, thank God is you.
I am not going to wait until tomorrow
To tell you how much I love you.
God made me a wonderful mother.
You’ve always been more than a mother to me.
You’ve been everything, friend always, enemy sometimes, mother forever
I’m glad you chose to be all this and more to me.
I miss you so much, your laugh, your smile, your hugs.
I like to think you are near me even when you are not.
Even though I cannot see you I feel that you are near
And that you are thinking of me and helping me along the way.
Now that I am older
I’ve realised how special our relationship is
And while I am thankful for this bond
Somehow it makes me miss you more.
The things you’ve taught
The care you’ve given and the wonderful love you’ve shown
Have enriched my life
I would not be who I am today without that.
There really aren’t enough words to say
How much I admire you, how much I appreciate you
And how much I thank you for everything you have done
Especially what you have done for yourself.
Thank you for your care and love.
Thank you for teaching me truth and confidence.
Thank you for helping me on my way.
Thank you for being my mother.
If I had to choose, I would never pick anyone else but you. For all the trials and happenings you are still an amazing woman, don’t ever forget that.
