One Last Letter to Heaven

To whom it may concern

You may not have realised
You may not have seen
The wonderful person
Which has come to your world.

He was a man
He was a father, a son
And a scholar.
He was my best friend.

He was taken from my grasp
Before I could hold on tighter
His life was ripped from this earth
And no one gave you permission to do so.

You could not possibly appreciate
What has been thrust upon you
For even his loved ones
Took his life, and his love for granted.

He was not perfect
He was not always right
But he was something more
To me than you could ever imagine.....

He was my dad.

Dedicated to my father, Albert Frail (1951-1994)
