Clouds

Clouds come in all different shapes and sizes
Just like human beings.
But clouds have one advantage,
They cannot be hurt by others of its kind.

Clouds float harmlessly in space
Occassionaly bumping into one another
But never meaning
To hurt its brother

While up in the sky
This illusion of happiness is occuring
Down on earth
A different illusion is taking place.

From the clouds the world looks harmless
Just a world made up of land and sea
But look a little closer
And you'll find no peace or harmony.

Brothers fighting one another
Babies being left behind by their mothers
Families begging others for food
And children lying dead in the streets.

The sky without clouds
Would be a different and lonely sight.
But I sometimes believe a world without people
Would make a much better planet.
