Thomas
Foy(e) was killed in action at the battle of Arras. He was
involved in a series of actions in the area of Fampoux and lost
his life along with 391 men on the same day as they went
"over the top" on the 3rd of May 1917. He was a
Grenadier with the 2nd battalion, Duke of Wellington's (West
Riding Regt.) (This information was provided by Julie
Maguire (nee Foy), granddaughter of Thomas Foy.) |
