Camiguin Island
Camiguin, "The island of your imagination..." is a  province teeming with natural wonders, diverse activities, affectionate folks, nostalgic scenes and romantic aura. I've had the opportunity to visit it in 2001 and I'm sharing some of the snapshots I've taken during my tour.

But first, a little info about the Island. Camiguin is a pear-shape volcanic island lying in the Bohol Sea some 54 kilometers southeast of Chocolate Hills and 90 kms. north of Cagayan de Oro airport; 120 kms. southeast of Mactan International Airport, and 10 kms. north of Misamis Oriental.

Camiguin is also noted for its unique & district celebrations. They are the
Lanzones Festival every third weekend of October, San Juan sa Hibok-Hibokan every June 24 and Panaad (Holy Week), which is a pilgrim's yearly trek around the island in observance of the Lenten season. Thousands of visitors make this island a Mecca as they converge at Walkway to the Old Volcano.

Here's some of the sights I've seen in Mambajao, the Provincial and Tourist capital of the Island...
One of the natural wonders in the Philippines, the Katibawasan Falls is situated 5 kms. southeast of Mambajao, which measures 256 feet high, cascades to a rock pool and its cold water provides and ideal summer splash to bathers and picnickers.
