Hello Family and Friends

Well here, it is 2005.  Happy New Year to All
Here is the year, 2004 in review.

The year started out quiet celebrating the New Year with friends.
Dick and I spent the months of January and February getting thing ready for Candys Wedding and planning our first camping trip of the year, held in Florida in March.

After we came home from the camping trip in March, I spent the next month and a half finishing the plans for the Wedding.

Candy and Joe got married in May.  It was lovely every one had a great time and cried a lot.  You can see the pictures of the wedding by clicking on the picture of Candy and Joe on the left.

In June, Dick and I did more camping.  Mom found out that she has a hereditary eye disease Called Fuchs Corneal Endothelial Dystrophy.  It attacks the cornea and the only real cure is corneal transplant.
If you are a member of the Allen Family, I strongly suggest that you check into this.

July kicked of months of Dick working 60 to 70 hrs a week.  He got a huge promotion.  When he took over the new position he was also still doing the job of Admin Officer, it took them a few months before they finally posted the job opening for the Admin Officer, so that he could hire some one to take it over.  So there for from July to late November he was working both jobs...  Spent the 4th at Rogers for the annual family cook out, and manage to get a few camping trips.

As most of you know late August and September kicked off with all of the Hurricanes and the rainstorms.  Florida got the brunt of most of the storm damage.  However, as luck would have it Candy, Joe, Chris, Heidi and kids came through with no damage.  How ever, some family in Ohio did not fair so well.  Aunt Molly and Uncle Dean lost every thing in a flood.  There house was destroyed along with Uncle Deans Shop.  However, we are all thankful that they came out ok.

October was a quiet month.  Dick and I went on a 10-day camping trip up along the Blue Ridge with some friends.  It was beautiful, the fall colors were in full bloom.  The weather was cool but not to bad.  You will find pictures of the trip at our family group sit.

November Dick finally got some one hired for the Admin job and was able to cut back a bit on the hrs.  Thanksgiving was at Rogers, the whole fam damily was there, and boy that is a house fullRoger deep-fried the turkey and it was delesious.  And we all ate way too much...  Camping is now over for the year...  (Dagg nab it.)

On December 10th, Mom went back to the eye Doctor.  There is no change in her eye site or her cataract.  So the doctor decided there would be no need to do the surgery on her eyes.  And we are glad about that  She goes back in a year for another checkup again.
I went to Florida on the 11th and spent a week with the kids had a great time and they are all doing fine.  I came home on the 19th   We did Christmas with the family here in VA on Christmas eve.  Then Dick and I spent a quiet Christmas Morning buy the fire, and went to friends for dinner.  We brought the new year at a little Resturant /Loung in a small town called Clarksville here in VA.

Well there you have it...  Year 2004 in Review...
