Chapter 2- arriving and old memories
Everyone had finally arrived at videls house and videl decided to introduce everyone. �Ok everyone,� she said, �this is Gohan, Eresa, and sharpener,� guys this is Ryoko, Tenchi, Ryohoki, Serena, Darien, Minna, and Tk. everyone said there hellos and nice to meet yous. �Wow quit a place you got here Videl� said Serena. �Well its not really mine its my dads� said Videl. �Whatever� said Ryoko, �show us where we�re going to be staying.� Everyone followed Videl down the hall and up the stairs to their rooms.
Videl only had Ryoko and Tenchi left. �Okay Ryoko you can take that room there and Tenchi you can take the one across the hall from her.� �No need� said Ryoko, �we�ll just share a room.� �Yeah� agreed Tenchi, �we are married after all.� �What you're married how come I wasn't invited to the wedding?� Said Videl and Serena in unison. �He he did I forget to tell you that? Said Ryoko laughing. �Oh well don't worry about it we really didn't plan it, we were on a trip and it just kinda happened.�
Videl�s Room
After everyone had gotten their rooms they all decided to crash in Videl�s room and catch up with each other. The girls were telling their stories of how they had met their boyfriends when Serena noticed a picture of Videl and her mom on her dresser. �Oh wow Vi you were so young in this picture� Serena said. �Come on Serrie do we have to talk about that?� Whined Videl. �Of course we do,� said Ryoko, �hey wasn't this picture taken right before you started singing with your mom?� �Videl I didn't know you sing, why didn't you tell me?� Asked Eresa. �That was a long time ago Eresa� said Videl. �Aww come on Vi, what happened to you wanting to become a singer just like your mom?" Asked Ryoko. �That all changed after..you know� said Videl. All the guys look confused while the girls looked sympathetic. �Excuse me but after what happened� asked Tenchi. Ryoko started to shake her head when Videl answered. �When my..when my mom died� she said choked up. Gohan looked at her and pulled her close giving her a tight hug. Everyone just sat there in silence for a while and trying to ease the tension in the room Serena asked, �So Videl have you written any new songs lately?� Videl was about to say no when Eresa answered for her. �She sure has!� Videl glared at Eresa. �Really you have, well lets hear it Vi� said an excited Ryoko. �Yeah lets hear it!� shouted Mina and Tk in unison. Videl looked up at Gohan with a pleading, silently saying help. �Dont look at me I wanna hear it too� said Gohan. Videl glared at Gohan but sighed and went and got her journal.
She sat back down beside Gohan and opened her journal. �Its not really anything, its probably not even that good� Videl said. �Well Ill judge that for myself� said Serena snatching the journal away from Videl. She read over the lyrics and looked back at Videl astonished. �Wow Vi this is so..so pretty� she said. �You really think so?� Asked Videl. �Yeah I really do� said Serena. �Will you sing if for us?� Asked Tk. �Yeah please Videl� said Sharpene. Videl look around at all of their pleading eyes and decided that it wouldnt hurt to sing just one little song. �Okay okay Ill do it� she said. �Oh oh let me get you kariohke machine Vi� said Eresa. She jumped up, ran to another part of the room, and came back a few seconds later with Videl�s kareoke machine. She sat it down, handed the mic to Videl, and started to play some music. Videl started to hesitate when Gohan gave her a push. She stood up and started to sing the words she wrote to the beautiful music.

When she finished singing everyone sat there too taken away to speak. Finally Gohan spoke up, �Wow Videl that was beautiful� A small blush rose to Videl�s cheeks. �Thanks� she said and sat back down in Gohans lap while the others started to clap and cheer for her.
Later that night
It was getting late so everyone decided to retire for the night and go to bed. Eresa whispered something in Sharpeners ear and he followed her into her room. �Whats this all about Eresa?� asked Sharpener. �This is about Videl Sharpie, you heard her tonight, she has an amazing voice� �Yeah so� said Sharpener. �So� said Eresa, �We have to get into this singing contest they�ve been talking about all week on the radio, she�d win for sure.� �Theres no way Videl is going to be in any kind of contest unless it has to do with marshal arts� said sharpener. �I know I know which is why I need your help, we�ve got to come up with a plan to trick her into getting into that contest� �You know Eresa, I might just have an idea� said sharpener. �Really ooo tell me tell me!� Said Eresa getting excited. �Well....� said Sharpener.
Serena�s room
Serena and Ryoko were in Serena�s room talking and listening to the radio when they heard something on the radio that caught their attention. �Hey Ryoko listen to this� Ryoko listened to what she was talking about and then looked at Serena with a mischievous grin. �Are you thinking what Im thinking� said Ryoko. �Oh yeh, just like old times?� said Serena. �Just like old times� said Ryoko.
