Foxxfyrre Figure Study and Life Drawing Gallery

Before the actual warning about the subject of nudity on the web or within my site,  I do want do mention that none of the material here is anyway pornographic or 'hardcore', but some can be described as sensual or erotic in nature.   It is really about  the study of the human subject in all its nuances.  I also want to mention that I am not an artist, and I have had no formal training in arts.  As a matter of fact, during my high school years, I did enroll in an art class but the class was so large that names were taken at random and placed within other courses.  My name came up and typing was the new class I was assigned to.  That was in 1974.  Twenty-three years later, a close personal friend, who is an artist, took the time to show me things about drawing and everything, including my life, changed.  Unfortunately, work and other obligations made my new interest in drawing be put on the back burner.  It wasn't until a friend moved away that I decided to create a drawing as a going away present, that my interest resurfaced.  The picture I drew was a nude couple surrounded in a flaming halo (she was a newlywed).  She loved it.  This was around April of 2000, and since then I decided that I would try to create a new drawing at least once a week. Also, I found that I really like drawing the human figure. So I bought books. Many books. All on the topic of 'How to Draw'.  One book in particular changed the way that I draw and approach drawing.  I have both, my artist friend and this book and author mentioned as a dedication within my 'Early Works Gallery' on this site because, without them, this site would never have been created --- never-mind any drawing ever being started --- ever!

Now that I've lost your attention or interest in browsing my site, I just want to mention a couple of things. First, I'm not building this site for any commercial purpose ie. I'm not trying to sell my wares or gain commissions.  Rather, I'm building this site to try to inspire people who thought, or still think, that they could not draw anything, be it a straight line or stick man,.  I was that person.  Really, I was.  And second, I have an interest in drawing the human figure but I'm not an art student and don't attend classes that have models, which makes it difficult to get physical subjects to study.  There are many resources out there, be it in textbook form, many magazines such as American Artist, any Fitness or Body Building Magazine, and there is many tasteful Usenet news groups that focus on artistic photography or drawing of the nude figure or art in general.

Lastly, I would love to hear your critiques about my art so please make use of the guest book.  And, if this site does inspire someone to put pencil to paper, I would love to see the result.  Feel free to email any personal artwork you would like to share. Eventually, I would love to create a "Foxxfyrre Friends Gallery" (with permission  to post of course).  This way I would know that the purpose behind creating this site wasn't all in vein.   You know what I mean.  :-)

Warning: This gallery is based on the study of the nude figure and may not be suitable or appeal to some people.
