This is one of my personal favorite drawings. It was loosely inspired by the movie Devil's Advocate. I was thinking of a stone carving that showed the Devil and the union of his children which, of course, would spawn the antichrist. As I continued to build on this drawing, I got the idea of using ravens as the metaphor of this union. I wanted the drawing of the carvings to look aged and worn with the faces of the ravens almost worn completely due to the carvings age. Completing this drawing also inspired the next couple of drawings, but the theme and the metaphor changed directions. I'm still working on a full series of drawings all of which are based on this drawing.
