I was first introduced to Jack Russell Terriers in 1995 when I began showing my horses.  They were everywhere, and they created such a presence in the barns that I knew I would end up owning one some day.
A few years later, I was in a local feed store when I noticed a litter of puppies behind the counter--Jack Russell Terriers, and they were adorable!  Of course, I brought one home, but I knew little about the breed, and knew nothing of what I was getting myself into.  This little JRT had a personality all her own.  Even as a puppy, she was determined to be in charge, and would antagonize any dogs she would encounter, regardless of size.  I now refer to this as "little dog syndrome".  I actually know some people who suffer from this same ailment!
Fortunately for this little dog, you can't help but love her.  She has endless energy, and is always looking for someone to give her attention.
Early in 2001, I was presented with the incredible opportunity of taking on an amazing JRT.  A good friend of mine, Tracy Bryant of Twin Oaks Farm, could no longer keep her little female, and was looking for a loving home for her.  Such is how I came to own "T.F. Camelot Flare", better known as "Minnie".  This has proved to be the best dog I have ever had the pleasure of owning.  I refer to her as my "minnie me", as she is always at my heels.  She loves nothing more than to accompany me wherever I happen to go, and at the end of a long day, find a lap to fall asleep on.
I currently only own one Jack Russell, although she has a great time with her new "baby" sister, Kalia, who happens to out-weigh her by about 35 pounds.
