(Ian Herrmann)
Dark and dreary like
a daemon’s foul mind,
A creeping, a crawling, a baby’s cry,
A sick sensation of a morbid find,
Just another peep and you will die.
Deep in my head a dark and swirling mist,
A darkness so deep and a sickness strong,
A dark vision of a much darker tryst,
Like bony fingers, so sickly and long.
The mind is sick and warty like a toad,
The "Heart of Darkness" dwells so deep within,
Twisted like a corkscrew, bent like a road,
The mind of darkness is foulest dark sin.
Forever shall the blackness co’er us all,
To sleep, to dream is prelude to the fall.

In the Darkness of the night, I see Her,
As I lay bathed in Moonlight, She comes in Visons.
Tho' the distance between us is hundreds of miles,
She lays down beside me with comfort and ease.
My Heart longs to be in far of places, beside Her,
But She comes to me, in Visions.
My mind dreams of time spent
together,
Enraptured and Loving, bound in Her arms.
Soft is Her touch, light is Her breath,
Her lips are like roses, and sweet is Her caress.
I wait forever till the next time, until then,
She'll come to me, in Visions.
When we are together grown old
and slow,
My love shall not change, for it is lasting,
We shall always have the other, forever,
When Death's dark visage steals over my eyes,
And His skeletal digits rob my last breath,
She'll come to me always, forever, in Visions.

Ode to the Vampire,
The Vampire’s Ode.
Fall from Life,
Though Life hath bore thee.
Fall from Death,
Though Death is o’er thee.
Fall from Grace,
Though Grace hath saved thee.
Fall from Sin,
Though Sin hath graved thee.
Fall from Love,
Though Love hath sent thee.
Fall from Hate,
Though Hate hath rent thee.
Fall from Heav’n,
Though Heav’n hath sought thee.
Fall from Hell,
Though Hell hath bought thee.
Fall from Health,
Though Health hath milled thee.
Fall from Pain,
Though Pain hath killed thee.
Fall from Life,
Though Life you save.
Fall from Death,
Though Death you gave.
