CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

 

Jacob Thompson

"The Gunslinger"

A businessman, he is normally composed and organized. His long blonde hair is pulled into a tight, slick ponytail that reaches the base of his shoulderblades. He wears a dark business suit, covered by a beige trenchcoat and carries an elegant black leather briefcase with gold fittings. His eyes are usually covered by a pair of modern, sleek sunglasses with dark mirrored lenses. Behind these, however, his eyes are captivating pools of royal blue fading inwards to a thin silver circle around his pupil. He appears kind and well mannered, and his boyishly handsome face gives off an air of gentility. A masked figure wearing a white bodysuit that conforms to his body. On occasion, the suit will change colors to a black or grey, forming patterns and urban camoflage. Covering his back, chest, arms, and pelvis is a black metal armor with various hinges and mechanical aparatus exhibiting strength enhancing characteristics, the suit is powered armor, dubbed the ARES Unit. The mask covers his entire head, other than a long blond tail extending out the back of it and down his back. Jacob's sunglasses are still on, worn on the outside of his mask, they are, in fact, a HUD(Heads Up Display) and provide him with a targeting system, rangefinder, zoom lens, rear vision, and radar. He carries 2 each of the "Ultimate Warrior" and "Canned Fury" weapons of his design, as well as twin energized daggers that lock into the front of the armor. On special occasions when even HEAVIER weapons are required, he will also carry the Thunder of God.

This weapon appears to be an extremely large semi-automatic pistol. The front portion is covered by a heat distributor plate, and has a fore-grip under the barrel. The rear portion extends behind the grip about 8 inches to hold a banana clip for 10 .50 caliber machinegun rounds. The weapon looks somewhat like a hybrid between a Steyr rifle and a Berretta 9mm. A submachinegun between the sizes of a Mac 10 and an MP5, it has a long, thick barrel housing that encases the 3 gattling barrels and hold the cooling fluid. The clip holds 30 .50 caliber pistol rounds and extends straight down in front of the grip. A large rifle shaped weapon with an over/under configuration of 2 different weapons, the lower one being a 7.62 gattling gun with a very high rate of fire, fed by a 150 round drum clip, the upper one being a modified 40mm Rocket Propelled Grenade launcher with an 8 round box magazine.

The ARES Unit (Augmenting Robotic ExoSkeleton)

The ARES Unit is the fabled "Power Armor". it enhances the strength, speed, perception and dexterity of the wearer's entire upper body through the use of complex robotics and bio-neural interfaces in the back and head that plug into the suit and HUD sunglasses. The sunglasses are linked to the firearms' laser tagreting system and tell the suit how to operate in regards to hitting the target with deadly accuracy, or non-deadly if the wearer overrides the system. It has has rear view optics that are projected onto the screen so he can shoot behind him without penalty and radar that can locate and track up to 15 seperate targets at one time. The suit runs on superdense storage batteries located in the back of the suit. The white fabric portion of his suit is not fabric, but a Flexible Armor Suit, or FAS, with Monochromatic Chameleon properties, allowing it to change between white, black and shades of gray as well as form patterns and designs. The mask is also linked to the system and is the same material as the suit, thus, Jacob often makes "Faces" on the mask of horrible intimidating figures in black and white. The suit also has spine blades that may be extended if Jacob is grappled while in his suit.
