Like To try a new hobby?

How about Radio Controlled boats?

I'm looking for people interested in this hobby. We would start from scratch, making the boat and learning how to operate it by radio control. I think it would be a lot of fun. If interested, call me,
Bob Price 634-5243

A questionnaire will be going out around the end of March regarding various hobbies and interests. If you have suggestions please call Marg Wendland 634-9779, or Mavis Allan 634-9872.

Mavis would also like to hear from you if you have ideas for social events. Friendship that flows from the heart cannot be frozen by adversity, as the water that flows from the spring cannot congeal in winter.

Christian Women's Club by Doreen Dean
For several months now a number of residents of Foxboro have been attending a once a month Morning Coffee with the Stratford Christian Women's Club. The group meets at the Knights of Columbus Community Centre in Stratford on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 11:30.

Relax and enjoy coffee and conversation with friends in a warm welcoming atmosphere. These mornings provide a wonderful opportunity to listen to a variety of interesting guest speakers, and also club members sharing their various talents and interests.

A number of residents from Foxboro drive on these mornings and would be happy to pick you up or, if you would like to drive and take someone with you please call: Maureen Wills at 634-9865

The programme from January 28 includes a Fashion Show, with clothes from Tan Jay plus a guest soloist and a speaker. If you wish to attend this morning please contact Doreen Dean at 634-9794 by Thursday January 23rd.

From SNOW BIRD, Jeanne Malich

I'm always looking for fast meals to get me out of the kitchen, and now with the new CENTRE becoming a reality, I'm even more anxious to find new meals that will allow me time to spend at all the activities that will be coming up in the future. Anyone got a one pot meal recipe to share? Here's my favourite recipe for freezing mini meat loaves for fast dinners
DILL SAUCE MEAT LOAF

Mix ground meat with onion, bread crumbs, dill pickle juice, egg, salt and pepper. Shape into 4 mini loaves.
Combine dill pickle, catsup, water, sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over loaves.
Bake in moderate oven (350 ) for 20 minutes, basting twice with sauce in pan. Continue baking without basting for 10 minutes longer, or until richly glazed.
Freeze loaves for a quick and easy dinner with a baked potato and vegetable. Warm in microwave.

Re: SNOW REMOVAL
We have a major contract for snow removal. We would ask that you please do not push the snow from your driveway onto the roads. Also, please do not cover up the orange coloured snow removal posts.

If you see a problem or have a question, please contact one of the snow removal committee members.

Speaking of Meatloaf...
One worried neighbor confided to a friend that he was concerned about his wife,Gertrude's hearing. She hardly answers me back anymore.

Why don't you give her the old hearing test, suggested the friend. When her back is turned, ask her a question from 20 feet away. Then from 10 feet-and finally from 5 feet.

The worried neighbor entered his back door and with Gertrude's back to him he inquired, Gertrude, what's for dinner? Not hearing a reply he stepped up 10 feet and said again, Gertrude, what's for dinner? Still no answer. Finally he got right behind her and yelled, What's for dinner? Gertrude turned and yelled back, For the THIRD TIME, MEATLOAF!

Snowbird Greetings
While we here at Foxboro Green are dealing with snowdrifts and sometimes bitter winds, many of our number are enjoying the warmer climate of the South. Letters have come from both the Spaffords and the Balcombs, each mentioning how helpful they found the detour map around Toledo which had been inserted in the November Fox Talk. So to those of us still heading south that is good news.

Lucille and Bill Balcomb tell of golfing and close encounters with beautiful, blue herons and ospreys.

The weather is fabulous, about 80 degrees. It makes you very thankful to be alive and realize how blessed we are. Looking at the community calendar we are sorry to miss so many events, but then .we do prefer Fla. weather to that of our beloved Foxboro. But every once in awhile we wish we were back in Foxboro- it's a nice place with very nice people. If you have all decorated your houses I am sure it will be a wonderful sight in 3 or 4 feet of pristine snow.

Very kindest regards from Cape Coral, Fla
Art and Lorraine Spafford recommend to all sea-food lovers, the New Orleans House at Lexington, Kentucky where they enjoyed an excellent seafood dinner on their way south.

We were aware our little home away from home had been visited by the Tropical Storm Josephine on Oct. 7th. And what a mess she left behind. But with determination and some effort and elbow grease.. four weeks later we were living like normal people again.

Christmas was quite differentthe first time in 48 years not .cooking the big.. Turkey Dinner and surrounded by family members.... So Christmas Eve we tried to bring a little cheer to those neighbours here who had been through the turmoil of the flood, and had them in for a buffet supper, exchanged some Christmas stories and experiences. It seemed to lift everyone's spirits and all came to the conclusion we had much to be thankful for, and that adversity can have its positive side.

Thank-you for forwarding Fox Talk, it was good to hear from home and what we are missing. Foxboro is full of wonderful people, doing so much to make our little community a success. We are proud to be part of it.

With sincere thanks to everyone being so kind to us 'seasoned citizens' we extend our gratitude and wish all Peace, Joy and Good Health in the year ahead.

God bless, from Clearwater, Sand Keys, Fla.
