Chapter 95

Lyn walked down the stairs seeing Brian talking to a middle aged man.  Brian noticed her coming down, "Lyn, this is Bro. Glenn.  He's gonna be doing the ceremony."  Lyn stuck her hand out to shake his hand, "Nice to meet you."  "You too young lady," Bro. Glenn said.  Lyn looked at Brian, he looked like he was about to pass out.  "You OK?" she asked.  He smiled, "Yeah, I'm just nervous."  "Yeah, so is Tara," Lyn said, laughing.  "Oh, I see the guests have arrived," Bro. Glenn said, seeing the guys walking around the house through the window.  Brian and Lyn watched as they sat down and opened their bags, then started talking amongst themselves, smiling and looking around.  "Well, I guess it's time," Brian said, nervously rubbing his hands together.  Bro. Glenn smiled at him, "See you out there."  "OK," Brian said, watching the older man walk out to the patio.  Lyn turned Brian around so he was facing her, and straightened his tie for him.  "You look great," she said.  "Thanks, so do you," he said.  Brian looked back outside and took a deep breath.  Lyn smiled, "Bri, these are your closest friends.  There's nothing to be nervous about."  He looked back at her and smiled, "I know."

Everyone was talking among themselves when Bro. Glenn walked out of the house.  They all hushed as he made his way up the stairs to the gazebo and turned around to face them.  "Afternoon all.  My name is Bro. Frank Glenn, I'm the pastor of the First Christian Church in town.  As you've all realized by now, you are at a wedding.  Brian and Tara want to thank you for coming.  And we'll get started in just a minute."  Bro. Glenn then walked over to the sound system that Brian had set up earlier and pressed a button, starting the music.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Brian heard the music and almost jumped.  Lyn laughed at him.  He turned to her, "I look OK?"  "Yes, you look fine," she said holding her arm out.  Brian took one more deep breath and took Lyn's arm.  Together they walked out of the house and down the isle up to the gazebo.
Nick walked back into Tara's room.  "It's time," he said.  Tara took one last look in the mirror, then turned around.  Nick smiled at her.  "God, I'm nervous," she said.  Nick held his hand out, "Don't be.  It's just us, and we all love you two."  She smiled and took his hand, "Thanks.  Now don't step on my dress."  He laughed as they made their way out of the room, and down the stairs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lyn and Brian walked down the isle to the music.  Everyone was smiling at them, and Brian couldn't stop smiling.  When they reached the steps of the gazebo, they stopped.  Lyn leaned over and kissed Brian on the cheek.  Then Brian walked up the steps, turning around and facing everyone.  Lyn stepped to the side of the steps, and turned around.  "Now if everyone will please stand," Bro. Glenn said.  Everyone stood up and turned around to see Tara and Nick standing in the back.  There were several, "Oh my God's" uttered, and a few gasps.  Brian grabbed the rail of the gazebo, he couldn't believe his eyes.

Nick and Tara slowly walked down the isle.  Tara made a point of looking at everyone.  She could see the love in everyone's face's, and that helped to calm her nerves.  When they reached the bottom of the steps, Nick leaned down and kissed Tara on the cheek, and gave her a hand up the steps.  When Tara reached the top, she turned around, facing Brian.  Nick helped Lyn straighten the train on Tara's dress, then they both took their places at the bottom of the stairs.

"You may be seated now.  Dearly Beloved, We are gathered here today to join this man and this woman in the bonds of holy matrimony.  If there is anyone here that has reason that these two should not be wed, please speak now or forever hold your peace," Bro. Glenn said.  Lyn was signing to Nick, though she didn't have to, and when she signed that part, he noticed everyone looking at him.  He looked over to Leighanne and they both smiled at each other.  Then Nick looked back over to Lyn.  She winked at him, and he smiled.  "Well, I guess not," Bro. Glenn said.  Everyone laughed.  "Brian, do you take Tara to be your lawful wife?  To have and to hold, to love, honor, and cherish, in sickness and in health, till death do you part." Bro. Glenn said.  Brian smiled, "I do."  "Tara, do you take Brian to be your lawful husband?  To have and to hold, to love, honor, and cherish, in sickness and in health, till death do you part," Bro. Glenn said.  Tara looked at Brian and smiled, "I do."

Bro. Glenn looked at Brian, "What token do you give?"  "A ring," Brian said, looking down at Nick.  Nick reached in his pocket, and felt around.  Brian was starting to get worried, when Nick finally pulled the ring out and handed it to him.  Brian handed the ring to Bro. Glenn, and he held it up for all to see.  "Brian, your love should be like this ring, never ending," he said, handing the ring back to Brian, "Now place it on her finger and repeat after me."  Brian placed the ring on Tara's finger.  "I give you this ring as a symbol of our love," Bro. Glenn said.  Brian looked into Tara's eyes, "I give you this ring as a symbol of our love."  Bro. Glenn looked at Tara, "What token do you give?"  "A ring," Tara said, looking down at Lyn.  Lyn slid the ring off her thumb and handed it to her.  Tara gave the ring to Bro. Glenn, and again he held it up, "Tara, your love should be like this ring, never ending."  He then handed her the ring, "Now place it on his finger and repeat after me."  Tara looked at Brian, and smiled, then placed the ring on his finger.  "I give you this ring as a symbol of our love," Bro. Glenn said.  "I give you this ring as a symbol of our love," Tara repeated.  "Now by the power invested in me, I pronounce you man and wife.  You may kiss the bride," Bro. Glenn said.  "Finally," Brian said, pulling Tara close and kissing her.

As they kissed, no one noticed Nick walk over to the sound board and turn it on.  He then placed the IEM in his ear, and stood in front of the microphone.  He watched as Tara and Brian parted from their kiss, to the claps and hoots of their friends.  "Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Littrell.  What God has joined together, let no man put asunder," Bro. Glenn said.  Brian started to walk down, but Tara grabbed his arm.  He looked at her.  "Now, for your surprise," she said.  Tara looked at Nick and nodded her head.  He started the music, as Brian and the others focused their attention on him.  He was shaking he was so nervous, but one look from Lyn calmed him, and he started to sing.

I stare at your face, into your eyes,  Outside there's so much passing us by.
All of the sounds, all of the sights,  Over the earth and under the sky.
To much cold and to much rain,  To much heartache to explain.

Who needs the world when I've got you, Switched off the sun, the stars, and the moon.
I've all I need inside of this room, Who needs the world when I've got you.

I walk on the street, talk in the dark,  I see people, strangers, fallen apart.
I open my arms, try to be true, Seems like my only truth is you.
Am I wrong or am I right?  All I want is you tonight,

Who needs the world when I've got you, Switched off the sun, the stars, and the moon.
I've all I need inside of this room, Who needs the world when I've got you.

Who needs the stars so bright, and the grass so green, and the morning light?
Who needs the wind to blow, and tide to rise, Who needs it, I don't know?  I don't know,

Who needs the world when I've got you, Switched off the sun, the stars, and the moon.
I've all I need inside of this room, Who needs the world when I've got you.
Who needs the world when I've got you, Switched off the sun, the stars, and the moon.
I've all I need inside of this room, Who needs the world when I've got you.

Who needs the world when I've got you.

Nic
k pulled the IEM out of his ear, and looked at everyone.  They all had shocked looks on their faces, and everyone was putting the tissues in their bags to good use.  Nick looked over at Brian and Tara.  "Surprise," he said.  Brian and Tara walked down the steps and over to Nick.  "You can hear?" Brian asked.  Nick smiled, "Yes."  "You can hear me right now?" Brian asked, still in shock.  "Yes, I can hear you," Nick said.  "Oh my God," Brian said, hugging Nick.

Everyone got up from their chairs and walked over to Nick, hugging him.  "Man, I can't believe it," A.J. said.  "Nick, this is great," Howie said.  "Yeah, now when we go into the studio..," Kevin started.  Nick threw up his hands, "Wait, wait.  Guys, I can't go into the studio with you."  "Why not?" they all asked at the same time.  Lyn walked over to Nick and held his hand, knowing this was hard for him to do.  "Guys, I'm not 100%, and this is as good as I'm gonna get.  I can hear you guys fine, and with the IEM, I can even hear the music good enough to sing.  But, when I'm in large crowds, I can't hear a thing.  The aid can't process all the noise, and all I get is a really annoying buzzing sound," Nick said.  "But, if you have the IEM in, you won't be hearing the crowd," Brian said.  Nick looked at him, "Bri, you know that's not true.  We can always hear the crowd, just not as much."  "Well, I think it's great that you got this much back," Leighanne said, hugging him.  "Yeah man," Gary said, shaking Nick's hand.  "Thanks guys," Nick said, "Now, don't we have a wedding to celebrate?"  "OK guys, there's cake and drinks in the house," Tara said.  Everyone hugged Brian and Tara as they headed inside the house.  "Well congratulations," Bro. Glenn said.  "You can't stay?" Tara asked.  "No, I have another wedding in an hour," he said.  "Thank you for doing this," Brian said, shaking his hand.  Bro. Glenn smiled at them, "You two take care of each other."  "We will," they both said.  "Bye now," Bro. Glenn said as he walked around the house to his car.

Tara and Brian and Nick and Lyn stood there staring at each other for a moment.  "Thanks for helping us with this," Tara said.  "It was a beautiful ceremony," Lyn said.  "Yeah, short, sweet and to the point," Nick said.  Brian laughed, "I never was much for long ceremonies."  "Well, we should get in there before they eat everything," Tara said, smiling.  "Yeah," Brian said, offering her his arm.  She took it and they walked into the house, followed by Nick and Lyn.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tracy, Jade, and Gidean stood outside the house, watching everyone.  "Tara looked beautiful," Tracy said.  "Yes she did," Jade agreed.  Gidean laughed, "If I hadn't held Brian up, he would have passed out when she walked out."  Tracy and Jade laughed.  "Well, they start a new life now," Jade said.  "Yeah, they all do," Tracy said, looking at Nick and Lyn.  "This is a new time for them," Gidean said.  "One full of happiness, I hope," Tracy said.  "Yeah, and if not, we'll be here, just like always," Jade said.
Everyone was enjoying the refreshments, and talking with one another.  Brian and Tara were sharing their cake, and laughing with everyone.  Lyn looked over at Tara, and caught her eye.  Then they both looked out the patio doors, seeing the angels.  "What are you looking at?" Brian asked.  Then he saw them.  Nick saw them too.  He smiled at Lyn and took her hand.  "Something interesting out there?" A.J. asked, not seeing what they were looking at.  All four just smiled.  Then the angels appeared to everyone for a moment, then vanished.  "Where those...?" Kira asked.  "Yes," Howie said, smiling at her.  "They came to see one of their own tie the knot," A.J. said, smiling at Tara.  Everyone stared out the doors for a few moments, then Tara got up and turned on the music.  "OK, we having a party or what?" she asked, smiling.  "We are definitely having a party," Brian said, pulling her close and kissing her.  Everyone laughed as Nick threw a napkin, hitting Brian and Tara, parting them from their kiss.  "OK you two, first we party, then you can," Nick said.  "Nick!" Lyn and Tara yelled at the same time.  The laughter filled the house and spilled out over the grounds.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The angels laughed, hearing the group.  "Well, it's time," Gideon said.  Tracy took a long look at the house, and the people in it, smiling.  Then she turned and joined Jade and Gideon as they rose above the house and entered the light.
