Heavy drapes of purple darkness

Pulled across the windows

of the chamber,

Hiding the shadows in their folds.

Checkerboard lights,

chessboard marble dance floor.

Take my hand and spin me

thru’ the music

‘til I’m dizzy and I fall

Into your arms.
